Roxy "30-Second" ski reviews: 2008
Bliss
"Nice, cruising ski, very smooth, easy to ski." summed up one test skier. Roxy is the second company known for other pursuits, in this case surfing, to jump into the ski biz this season, along with Palmer Snowboard Co. The secret here is that these skis are built by the Dynastar-Rossi combine. As far as we know, this is the only purely female oriented company selling skis; it will be interesting to watch whether if the ploy succeeds in finding additional outlets for Dynastar/Rossignol skis with flashy graphics.
Joyrider
The Joyrider is the stronger of the two tactical, quasi-technical skis we tested, aimed at a more skilled skier. In fact, it's based on the Rossi Z line. Good all mountain 1-ski quiver for reasonably strong skiers. Stable, quick, smooth and responsive. A winner for Roxy.

Broom Stix
While billed as a park and pipe ski, our skiers felt it to be an OK all-mountain twin for all but the most aggressive skiers.
Black Magic
The Black Magic, based on Dynastar's Big Trouble, is a competent, competition-level freestyle ski that can be used as a big mountain powerhouse. Only for energetic, aggressive skiers in that venue.
Phoenix
All mountain skiers who encounter a variety of conditions, including broken snow, ice and bumps, and who possess well developed modern technique, will find this a serviceable 1-ski quiver, although there is a lot of competition from more established brands.
